Annette Lyon is a USA Today is a bestselling author who has had success as a professional editor and in newspaper, magazine, and technical writing, but her first love has always been writing fiction. She's won Utah’s Best of State medal for literary arts in fiction six times—twice for novels and three times for short fiction, is a three-time Whitney finalist, and a Whitney Award winner.
She has received five publication awards from the League of Utah Writers, including the Silver Quill for Coming Home, the sequel to Band of Sisters, which won the Whitney Award for in the General Fiction category for 2010.
For nearly a decade, she has been as a freelance editor and a senior editor at Precision Editing Group, working on bestselling novels from a variety of well-known authors and publishers.
She’s one of the four coauthors of the Newport Ladies Book Club series, having written Paige, followed by Ilana's Wish, and concluding the series with the co-written Tying the Knot.
