A country fighting to stay free.
A woman with an impossible decision.

In November of 1939, Sini Toivola is sure of two things: she loves Marko Linna, and she has a comfortable life in Helsinki. But when the massive Soviet army invades her beloved homeland and Marko spurns her affections, her life is turned upside down. Needing a fresh start, Sini decides to join the female volunteer corps—the Lotta Svärd—and is sent to serve near the front lines. Service at a field hospital proves a good distraction—until Sini discovers a Russian soldier lost behind their camp.

Duty requires her to turn him in, but her heart begs to keep him safe and help him escape. Torn between love for her country and love for her enemy, Sini must choose—but no matter what choice she makes, heart-wrenching consequences await them all.

Lots o' Links!

Not just links, either; tons of news!

Tailor Made goes live on Tuesday, September 3rd, but it's already available for pre-order.

Snag your copy for just $2.99, and it'll download automatically to your Kindle!

It's the first in what will be a series set in 1800s Finland. Long-time readers may recognize it as a story I wrote for the now-defunct Kindle Worlds program, but it's bigger and different and better than ever!

About the book:

Two people. An impossible Task. A traitor in their midst.

Sofi’s mother desperately needs medicine, and Sofi will do anything to get it—including a one-month stay at the Brunberg mansion in Helsinki, the capitol. There she’ll spend her days at the Kangas Tailor Shop, knitting silk stockings and other items from sunup to sundown for the biggest wedding of the decade. If she can do it, Sofi will have the ability to get the medicine her mother needs, with money to spare.

But Sofi’s safe world of knitting needles and thread is turned upside down when she finds herself in the middle of political intrigue. Antti, tailor and owner of the shop, Sofi uncover a plot to sabotage the Brunberg daughter’s wedding and threaten to bring Russia’s fist onto the Grand Duchy, removing the Finns’ self-governance, and possibly lead the countries into war.

As Sofi and Antti work together to save their country, she can’t help falling in love with the unassuming and attractive head tailor, though she knows she can’t have him. Her country and her family need her, and when her job is done, she’ll go home to Porvoo, never to see him again.

As they race to stop the traitor, the battle in her heart intensifies, and she fears that the victor won’t be love.

Here's the purchase link one more time.

COVER REVEAL!!!

~~~
The Girl in Gray is my World War II novel.
It's women's fiction and set during the little-known Winter War, a relatively short but amazing conflict between the Soviet Union and Finland.
The Winter War had big effects on the war, and I had relatives who fought and died in it.
I worked on this book for years and years. It's truly a labor a love, and I can't wait for my readers to get their hands on it!
Stay tuned for the back cover copy, pre-order, and release date, all coming soon!
New Releases You Won't Want to Miss
The Warning, by James Patterson and my awesome friend Robison Wells
About the book:
Two roads lead to Mount Hope. None leads out. There's no place to run in a community that's been takenand is being intentionally kept―off the grid.
A small southern town was evacuated after a freak power-plant accident. As the first anniversary of the mishap approaches, some residents are allowed to return past the national guard roadblocks.
Mount Hope natives Maggie and Jordan quickly discover that their hometown is not as it was before. Downed cellular networks fail to resume service. Animals savagely attack humans. And the damaged power plant, where Jordan's father is an engineer, is under military lock down.
As friends and family morph into terrifying strangers, the Maggie and Jordan increasingly turn to each other. Their determination to discover who―or what―has taken control of Mount Hope soon has them in the cross hairs of a presence more sinister than any they could have imagined.
The Marquess Meets His Match, by Julie Coulter Bellon
About the book:
Lord Christian Wolverton―known as Wolf in a covert group operating during the war against Napoleon―has been called home from his military duties. For the moment, his family responsibilities require him to suspend his more clandestine activities. But information falls into his hands that a traitor will soon try to tip the scales back into French favor and Christian doesn't have much time to stop it from happening.
Going to the one person who can help him, the powerful Duke of Huntingdon, Christian comes face to face with Lady Alice. She’s a beautiful member of the ton with a very big secret―she’s also a trained agent and already on the case. Forced to partner with her to lure the traitor out of hiding, Christian wants to quickly close the case himself, before Lady Alice is more closely involved. But Lady Alice has ideas of her own and she’s going to prove her theories correct―with or without him.
Danger is closer than they think, however, and it’s a race against time to expose the traitor’s identity before British lives are endangered. Both Christian and Alice have strong opinions on who he is, but which one will be proven right?
Announcement: New Series Coming!
An old book of mine, Tailor Made, is no longer available through Amazon, because the Kindle Worlds program has ceased to operate.
As a result, I have regained rights to the story, provided I remove all elements of the kingdom of Monterra, which is the Kindle World the story was originally part of and written for.
At the same time, the more I write about Finland, the more I want to write about it, so I am going to take the original story, retool it so it's set in 1800s Finland instead of the Alps, and create a brand-new series of books set in the century when Finland was a Grand Duchy of Russia.
My awesome cover designer has even updated the cover to reflect the Finnish setting (note the cathedral!) and the new series name under the title: The Grand Duchy of Finland.
(Plus the Finnish crest of a lion at above the title. How cool is that?!)
TAILOR-MADE - Grand Duchy
The new Tailor Made cover.
Isn't it great?!
Watch for an announcement of the release of the new Tailor Made, as well as other stories to come set in the same era!
Spring 2019 News
Don't miss out on the latest!
OUT NOW: Kissing a Billionaire Collection
Featuring romantic stories by Taylor Hart, Heather B. Moore, Sarah M. Eden, Annette Lyon, Danyelle Ferguson, and Sophia Summers.
My story in this collection, "Bow Tie and the Billionaire" has special meaning to me.
It's inspired in part by my uncle Howard, who passed away right before I wrote the story (he's the original Bow Tie the clown!), and it's set in Helsinki, the home of my heart.
Get it HERE.
Harvest Valley Romance Series
To help readers find stories that are in the same character universe, I've begun rebranding some of my work into the Harvest Valley Romance series.
The first is Falling to Pieces (formerly published as A Portrait for Toni).
If only life could stay the same, Toni would be happy.
But fate and her best friend, Carter, have other ideas.
Falling to Pieces is available for just 99 cents.
In that book, you meet Brooke, whose story is told in Lost Without You
Brooke has almost given up on finding love.
Then she meets Greg, who's handsome, kind, funny, adventurous . . . but definitely not ready to love.
Other Harvest Valley stories:
The Ultimate Bachelor Challenge
Two singles are alone on Valentines Day: one is newly dumped, and the other has something to prove.
